The location is the best you could wish for the convenience of public transport: underground station "Furio Camillo" is 300 meters far away, bus stop of line "85" for the historic center is 50 meters far and railway station "Tuscolana" to 500 meters.

Surroundings

Appio district is full of shops and stores: three supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, pubs, wine bars, internet-point, bar, pizzerias, restaurants, gyms, all within a radius between 50 and 300 meters from the apartment.

From Casa Appia you can reach Parco della Caffarella in less than ten minutes walk, and then the splendid archaeological site Appia Antica.
This public park is located outside of Porta S. Sebastiano. In 200 hectares you can find the beauty of Triopio di Erode Attico, the S. Urbano temple, the nymph Egeria cave, the Annia Regilla tomb and along the street Via Appia the Cecilia Metella tomb and the roman catacombs.

Behind St. Maria Ausiliatrice, Villa Lais is located. It includes seven buildings once used to manor house, stables, botanical garden, cowshed and dwelling houses of easement. Today the buildings, all restored, are intended for municipal services. Among these is a splendid desecrated chapel where three days a week marriages in a civil ceremony are celebrated.

Just 10 minutes by bus you are square in San Giovanni in Laterano and Santa Croce in Gerusalemme, with the homonymous Basilicas which certainly does not need any introduction, and in 15 minutes by subway you can reach Cittą del Vaticano. The Colosseo and Terme di Caracalla can also be reached by bus in 10 minutes.

Note that the major monuments and landmarks of Rome can be reached just by 85 bus line: Basilica di San Giovanni, Colosseo, Fori Imperiali, Altare della Patria, Via del Corso, Quirinale, Fontana di Trevi, Via Nazionale, Via Frattina, Via Condotti, Pantheon, Piazza di Spagna, Trinitą dei Monti.
